ABOUT ONLINECERTHUB
Independent reviews,
real career outcomes.
OnlineCertHub is an editorial project dedicated to helping learners in the US and UK choose the right online course, professional certification or accredited degree — without the marketing noise.
Data-driven
Rankings use Google Keyword Planner volumes, BLS/QAA salary data and employer demand signals from LinkedIn, Indeed and USA Jobs.
Independent
Providers can’t pay to appear or rank higher. Affiliate commissions are disclosed and never change editorial verdicts.
Always current
Every guide is revisited at least twice a year. Prices, accreditation statuses and employer signals are re-verified.
How we score every certification
Four criteria, weighted equally, recalculated every time we update a guide.
01Recognition. How often does the credential appear in current job postings and HR-facing content?
02Cost-to-outcome ratio. Tuition (or subscription) weighed against median entry-level salary in the target role.
03Accreditation & provenance. Regulated accreditation bodies (QAA in the UK, regional accreditors in the US) and the provider’s track record.
04Learner experience. Completion rates, learner support, time to complete, flexibility and recency of content.
What you can count on
Four promises that shape every single page on this site.
No pay-to-play
Providers cannot buy a position in our rankings or a more favourable verdict, period.
Clear disclosures
When a link is affiliate, we say so. When we haven’t personally tested something, we say so too.
Source-backed claims
Salary and demand numbers come from BLS, QAA and public job-posting datasets — not guesswork.
